PSER Online Registration 2026 portal guide for Punjab families

PSER stands for Punjab Socio-Economic Registry. The Punjab government collects data about your household through this survey including your income, assets, family members, education, and health situation. PSER uses that data to decide which families get government support.

The PSER survey was started by the Government of Punjab under CM Maryam Nawaz and PM Shehbaz Sharif to collect real household information. PSER survey 2026 is fully active. The online portal is open, registration centers are running across Punjab, and if you have not registered yet, now is the time.

PSER Eligibility Criteria 2026 – Who Can Register?

Only permanent residents of Punjab with a monthly household income below PKR 50,000 are eligible. Priority is given to families with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or female-headed households. The PMT score must be below 34 to qualify.

You Can Register If:

  • Monthly household income below Rs. 50,000
  • Daily wage earners with no fixed income
  • Women-headed households with no earning male member
  • Families with a disabled or chronically ill person
  • Small farmers with little or no agricultural land
  • People not registered under BISP and receiving no government aid
  • Residents of rural and underdeveloped areas of Punjab

Priority Given To:

  • Widows and female-headed households
  • Families with disabled members
  • Families affected by floods or natural disasters in the past five years
  • Households with no formal income source

⚠️ One thing to be clear about: PSER is only for Punjab residents. People living in Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, or AJK are not eligible for this registry. Each province manages its own database.

Your PMT score matters the most. The PMT score is calculated automatically based on your registration form data. A lower PMT score means more need. For most relief programs like the PSER Ramzan Program, a PMT score below 34 is generally required. Your housing condition, assets, income, and number of family members all affect this score.

Where to Find a Center

  • Your local Union Council office (most common location)
  • District government offices
  • BISP Tehsil offices in some areas
  • Government facilitation centers with a PSER registration desk

At the Center

PSER Online Registration 2026 Last Date

There is no single fixed last date for PSER registration. The Punjab government built PSER as a continuous registry that stays open all year. You can register today, next month, or six months from now. If your name is not in the database when a benefit program runs its selection, you miss that round. Register now and your name is in the system for every program that comes after.

How to Check PSER Registration Status

Once you submit your application, you can track its progress three ways.

Method 1

Online Portal

Log in to pser.punjab.gov.pk. Your dashboard shows your current status: Submitted, Under Review, Approved, or Rejected. If rejected, the system shows a reason.

Method 2

SMS via 8070

Send your 13-digit CNIC (no spaces, no dashes) to 8070. You get a reply with your current status. This works even if you registered offline and do not remember your portal password.

Method 3

PSER Helpline

Call 0800-02345. It is a free call from any network. Tell the agent your CNIC number and they look up your application status manually.

Verification of your PSER registration usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. Do not panic if your status shows pending for a few days after submission. If your application is rejected, log in and read the rejection reason carefully. Most rejections happen due to wrong CNIC data, mismatched address, or income information that could not be verified. Fix the issue and reapply.

Difference between NSER and PSER

Many people confuse these two registries because both collect household data and both affect government benefits. NSER, which stands for National Socio-Economic Registry, is managed at the federal level and covers households across the entire country. BISP established NSER in 2011 and used it as the main database for federal social protection programs like Benazir Kafaalat and Ehsaas for over a decade. It helped the federal government identify poor families at the national level but had serious gaps — COVID-19 exposed that NSER contained incomplete data and was difficult to access, resulting in 25 million people in Punjab alone being excluded from social protection.

Punjab built PSER specifically to fix those problems. While NSER relies on self-reported data, PSER cross-checks household information against other administrative databases, including land records, property ownership, and vehicle registration. This makes PSER significantly more accurate than NSER. PSER data is also integrated with BISP to verify Benazir Kafaalat and ration subsidy eligibility, and to ensure overlapping beneficiaries across Ehsaas and BISP are correctly identified.

NSER gets you federal benefits like Benazir Kafaalat while PSER gets you Punjab-specific benefits like the Kisan Card, Himmat Card, Rehmat Card, and Ramzan Package. If you are currently receiving BISP Benazir Kafaalat, you still need to register for PSER separately. Individuals already receiving BISP assistance are encouraged to complete their PSER Punjab registration to ensure they are also included in province-specific programs like the Kisan or Himmat cards.

Government Welfare Schemes Linked to PSER

Once you complete your PSER registration, you become eligible for multiple government programs through the same database. Here are the major schemes that use PSER data for beneficiary selection:

Scheme NameWhat You Get
Himmat CardFinancial support for disabled persons
Kisan CardInterest-free loans and agricultural subsidies
Rehmat Card (Bewa Sahara Card)Rs. 1,00,000 grant for widows
Health CardFree medical treatment at empaneled hospitals
Solar SchemeSubsidized solar panel installation
Laptop SchemeFree laptop for deserving students
Apna Khet Apna RozgarAgricultural land lease for landless farmers
8070 Ramzan PackageGrocery assistance during Ramzan
Asaan Karobar SchemeBusiness loan without interest

Families also benefit from transparent distribution and long-term inclusion in government social programs. Registering once keeps your household visible for all current and future schemes.

How to Check PSER Eligibility by CNIC

After you complete the PSER survey, the system calculates a Poverty Means Test (PMT) score for your household. You cannot see your exact PMT score on the portal, but you can see your application status and whether any program has selected your household.

For a fast CNIC-based check, send your 13-digit CNIC number to 8070. The reply tells you whether you are in the system and what your current benefit status is. If the reply says you are not registered, complete your PSER registration first and check again after a few weeks.

How Your PMT Score Is Calculated

Increases PMT Score (Less Likely to Qualify)
  • Owning a car or motorcycle registered in your name
  • Owning agricultural land above a certain size
  • Having a family member in a government job
  • Living in a pucca house with all utilities
Lowers PMT Score (More Likely to Qualify)
  • No source of regular income
  • Disability of any family member
  • Death of a child in the previous year
  • Being affected by floods or disasters

⚠️ Do not try to manipulate this information. Authorities have introduced stricter asset and income cross-checking through NADRA integration to enhance transparency, prevent duplicate entries, and ensure that benefits reach only deserving households. If your submitted data does not match NADRA records, your registration gets rejected.

PSER Jobs Online Apply

When the Punjab government expands the PSER survey, it hires field staff including Data Entry Operators, Field Survey Officers, and Community Mobilizers.

These PSER survey jobs are posted on the official SMU website at smu.punjab.gov.pk and Punjab government career portals. For PSER jobs online apply, always use official government portals only. Third-party websites mostly post fake or outdated listings.

Common Problems and Their Solutions

Problem: CNIC shows an error during account creation.

Solution: Enter all 13 digits with no spaces, no dashes. If the error continues, visit your nearest NADRA office. Your CNIC may need biometric verification.

Problem: Verification code SMS never arrived.

Solution: The mobile number must be active and registered in your own name. A SIM in someone else’s name may not receive the OTP. Use a number in your own name.

Problem: Application status showing pending for weeks.

Solution: This is normal during high registration periods. If more than 5 to 6 weeks pass with no update, call 0800-02345 with your CNIC ready.

Problem: Application approved but no benefit arrived.

Solution: Check your dashboard for any missing detail like a bank account number. If everything looks complete, report it on the helpline.

Problem: Someone is asking for payment to register you.

Solution: PSER registration has no fee at any stage. Anyone asking for money is running a scam. Refuse and report to the helpline or local district administration immediately.

⚠️ Fraud Warning

The PSER scheme has attracted fake portals, WhatsApp groups, and agents who charge fees for registration.

  • The only real portal is pser.punjab.gov.pk
  • The only official number is 8070
  • The official helpline number is 0800-02345
  • Registration is completely free through all official channels
  • No agent or private website is authorized to collect your data or charge a fee
  • Do not share your CNIC or OTP with anyone calling on your behalf
  • If someone promises guaranteed registration approval for money, that is a scam
